Well, first I have to say that it was a rough day traveling. I95 kinda sucks, and there was something going on that added about 90 minutes to our commute time…but we arrived at Debellation Brewing Company in Richmond Hill Georgia in one piece. We weren’t there but two minutes and freedom already was doing his thang and making friends:
Spent some time talking to a nice young woman on a multi year trip crossed the country when a couple comes and asks me if I’m from NH…I said of course. Turns out, they are from Laconia, right next to Belmont! He looked familiar, and it turns out he worked in the Laconia School District for many years.
Today’s trip took us on some detours to avoid some of the highway bottleneck, and that got me to thinking. If you detour out of Newtons law (the path that you are traveling)…is it by accident or on purpose when something happens to you? I started contemplating the many times I’ve had to detour things in life just to supposedly arrive at whatever destination I was meant to be at. Was the detour part of some worldly plan? I mean…nothing bad that I know ever happened except a fender bender in high school when I decided to take a different route than normal…but our routes are more than just a direction we drive. We plan our work to work our plan…no matter how much planning you do, something seems to always sneak in that makes you alter your approach. I don’t think this is a bad thing in fact, some of it I find to be healthy. We all need to learn to adapt, we can’t just go planning everything to a T and expect that we rule the world.
The beer is good here, of course I went for the New England IPA. I’d pick up some for my buddy Bout, but they have only been open a year and don’t can yet. The last few days were nice to have friends around…but I am happy to be on my own again so that Freedom and I can collect some more firsts together. I may meet up with Darren and Wendy again in Tennessee, we’ll see:

Well, with the distractions I had on the road today, I didn’t get to unpacking my thoughts as much as I wanted…but the next few days ought to give me some inspiration…and stay tuned for the end of the week…Freedom is gonna take a ride in a Side by Side!
Don’t let the detours in life get you down my friends…I really do believe that sometimes they are on purpose!
