What a trip we had! The last few days we were visiting with my Cousins in York Pa, and then with my brother Don in Telford.

Don and I were able to just sit and talk about a lot of things that we’ve both experienced in life. I grew up only seeing Don a few weeks here or there, and less than that in adult hood. He’s a cool dude…and like he said, let’s not make it another 10 years in between.
Don introduced me to a house favorite (and rule that all visitors must partake in)…Smoked Bourbon with lemonade. While I am not a fan of bourbon…this might be the concoction to sway my ways:
I regrettably did not take many photos at my two previous stops…Cousin Bob’s in York…it’s been about 10 years since we last saw each other and MUCH longer for Cousin Deb as I haven’t seen her since I was maybe 6 or 7.
Winston Salem was a trip! So proud of my good friend Jeff who leads an amazing program and is able to balance all that is work with wonderful wife and kids. This business is one that can really take a lot of life from you…it’s refreshing to see people you care about succeeding at home and at work. Jeff, thank you for the memories and brotherhood (I did take one pic…but that was for Tony so I’ll leave the shenanigan’s in the locker lol!).
Perhaps the best part of my trip was walking in the door and catching my wife off guard as she thought I would arrive later…Freedom was all over her, and I could hear how much she missed us in her voice. I wish I had secret cameras around that I could have recorded it and at the same time…not all moments belong to the public. Shortly after I was able to give my youngest a big squeeze and got to to the same today with my oldest…I missed them all.
I will have my trip (and then some) summed up in a nice montage by the weekend for a nice read and video. I learned a lot about myself and have come out on the other side refreshed and energized to get back at it and enjoy “all the things” (as a good friend puts it).
Stay tuned!
